We’re a nation of world-class athletes, after all. From ice hockey legend Jaromír Jágr to football icon Petr Čech, sport is deeply woven into Czech culture. So if your idea of a perfect stag weekend involves hiking boots, running shoes, a workout or a healthy dose of adrenaline with our activities rather than a hundred shots and a headache, Prague won’t disappoint.
Start your day with a run
Who says you need a walking tour? (Let’s be honest, a sightseeing bus or Prague beer bus probably isn’t an option for your group anyway.)
Instead, start the day the way many locals do: with a run. If you’re into park running, check out Letná or Stromovka. Prefer running by the water? Head to the Vltava, the main Prague river.
Or you just want to have some fun and spare your legs? Completely valid! Book a prank dog attack for your soon-to-be-married friend, and you’ll see him set a new personal best in seconds, while you’re dying on the ground laughing, wearing your funky stag do t-shirts.
Once you’re done, reward yourself with one of the city’s most famous experiences: a Prague beer spa. Soaking in beer instead of drinking it is the athlete’s way to do it! (Not that we’re suggesting you can’t enjoy a pint afterwards.)
And honestly, coming to the world’s beer capital and not experiencing beer in any form? That would be a crime.
Leg days don’t ask where you’re at
Does your group enjoy hitting the box for a CrossFit workout? Prague has plenty of options worth checking out. CrossFit Committed and CrossFit Meat Factory are both popular choices among locals and visitors alike.
Another great way to train your legs is Foot Darts (with your stag strapped to the board as a living target). And if you want to recreate that post-workout dizziness without actually doing burpees, give Binocular Football a go. 😄 Put on the special glasses and see if you can score a goal while stumbling around like you’ve just finished your fifth pint.
Still not tired?
So you’ve smashed your morning run and squeezed in a workout too. Impressive.
But maybe there’s still some energy left to burn. And let’s be honest, no stag group is complete without at least a little healthy competition.
If your competitive side is starting to kick in, here are a few athlete-approved activities that have been extremely popular with our groups lately:
- Prague shooting range
Our long-time bestseller. Precision, focus, and a healthy dose of competition. Test your aim with a selection of real firearms under the supervision of experienced instructors and see who earns bragging rights as the group’s top marksman. - White Water Rafting
Let’s get that adrenaline pumping. Take on a 500-metre whitewater course with professional instructors, conquer the rapids together, and recharge afterwards with a well-earned drink and sandwich by the river. - Bubble football
Ever seen a zorb? Now imagine trying to play football inside one. Bounce, roll, crash into your mates and laugh your way through the most chaotic football match you’ll ever play - Speedsoft
A classic for a reason. Faster, more intense, and more tactical than traditional airsoft, Speedsoft lets you choose your scenario, gear up, and battle it out in fast-paced indoor missions. - Human football table
Because we’re willing to bet you haven’t tried this one before. Become the football player instead of controlling one, work together with your teammates, and discover just how difficult, and hilarious, it is to score when you’re all attached to the same bar.
When in doubt… Go hike!
Camping and hiking are our national favourites. If you really want to bring home big memories, plan a hiking trip out of Prague. There are three places you won’t regret taking a bus or a train to:
- Adršpach: massive sandstone formations with tons of trails
- Sněžka: the highest mountain in the Czech Republic, great for a sunrise climb
- Karlštejn and Velká Amerika – a castle and a quarry nicknamed “Czech Grand Canyon”, both just outside Prague
Stag do on endorphins
Can you already feel your muscles aching? Good. A Prague stag do can be as active as you want. From running routes and CrossFit boxes to hiking trails, adrenaline activities, and even race weekends, there’s no shortage of ways to keep moving.
Prague and the Czech Republic are about much more than Prague pub crawls. In fact, by embracing the sporty side of the country, you’ll be enjoying it much like the locals do.
Take home great memories, a few sore muscles, and maybe even a better resting heart rate.
